1 About the Business School

The Business school adhere to the “technology-based & application-oriented” running strategy, adhere to the “virtue-based people”, and cultivate all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, beauty and labor, with solid disciplinary knowledge and professional foundation, strong practical ability and innovative spirit of applied senior professional talents. There are 97 teachers, including 38 senior titles, 11 returnees, 1 “overseas famousteacher”ofShanghaiEducationCommission,2leadersofMinhangDistrict,Shanghai,and51teacherswith doctoraldegree.

Business School has two key construction subjects in the 13th Five-Year Plan: Applied Economics and Management Science and Engineering, covering international economy and trade, international economy and trade (China-US Cooperation), financial management, marketing, industrial engineering, logistics management, quality management engineering, energy economy, economy and finance, economic statistics, etc. Shanghai University Humanities and Social Sciences Key Research Base: Shanghai Equipment Manufacturing Industry Development ResearchCenter.Inrecentyears,businessschoolhavesetupanumberofhigh-levelknowledgeserviceteams,such as Guantian IE studio, SME service center, etc., which have won a certain social reputation for their professional and characteristic services.

In terms of school-enterprise cooperation, the Business School has successively cooperated with Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd., Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Kangqiao Industrial Development (Group) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Heavy Machinery Factory Co., Ltd., Shanghai Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd., Shanghai Yimin Commercial Group Co., Ltd. More than 30 well-known enterprises, such as Shanghai Mitsubishi Elevator Co., Ltd., Shanghai Siemens Switch Co., Ltd., Yeshuifu Logistics Co., Ltd., Jiande Logistics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Oriental Electronics Group Co., Ltd., have signed cooperation agreements on production, education and research, and carried out all-round and multi-level cooperation.

In terms of internationalization, business school have established close cooperation with many well-known foreign institutions, such as the University of Northern Iowa, the University of Hamstad in Sweden and the University of Leeds Trinity in the United Kingdom. They have long engaged foreign teachers to participate in teaching and research activities. At the same time, teachers and classmates are regularly dispatched to foreign universities for further study and study.
